SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt

What: Wet flurries possible. When: Overnight tonight until Sunday morning. Where: Okanagan Connector - Merritt to Kelowna, Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt, Coquihalla Highway - Merritt to Kamloops and Highway 3 - Princeton via Allison Pass. Additional information: An upper disturbance passing through the B.C. interior is expected to drop the snow levels overnight tonight to around 1500 meters. Snowfall accumulations will be minimal, from trace to 5 cm. Rising temperatures on Sunday will melt away the snow. Please be prepared to adjust your driving as weather conditions at high elevations may change quickly. Slow down and maintain a safe following distance. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #BCStorm.
