TRANS-CANADA HIGHWAY - EAGLE PASS TO ROGERS PASS
SNOWFALL WARNING

Snowfall Warning in effect for:
  • Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass

Snowfall with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected. When: Thursday morning into Thursday evening. Where: Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass. Additional information: A low pressure system which is forecast to pass through Southeastern B.C. on Thursday will bring snow to the region. Snowfall will begin overnight tonight and will intensify as the low approaches by Thursday morning. Snowfall should ease by Thursday evening as the low departs. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. The site shiftintowinter.ca reminds drivers to know before you go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains. Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #BCStorm.
