SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING

Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for:
  • North Okanagan - including Vernon

At 7:42 PM PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain. - A line of severe thunderstorms orientated in west - east direction 35 km north of Vernon is moving northeastward 30 km/h. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #BCStorm.
