  • Sunshine Coast - Saltery Bay to Powell River

Another wind storm tonight, less intense than the last one. When: Tonight. Where: East Vancouver Island - Campbell River to Nanoose Bay, Sunshine Coast - Saltery Bay to Powell River What: Winds southeast 70 km/h gusting to 90. Additional Information: Another fall storm is forecast to impact the south coast tonight. A low pressure system centred west of Vancouver Island will generate peak southeast winds of 70 km/h gusting to 90 through the northern Strait of Georgia tonight. Southeasterly winds will increase early this evening, with peak wind speeds expected tonight. Strong winds will ease below warning overnight and remain blustery on Saturday. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
