SNOWFALL WARNING
- Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt
Snowfall with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected. When: This evening until Thursday afternoon. Where: Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt. Additional Information: A low pressure system passing through southeastern B.C. interior will bring snow to the region. Snowfall will begin this evening and intensify overnight tonight. Snowfall will ease as the low passes by Thursday afternoon. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Additional information: A low pressure system which is forecast to pass through Southeastern B.C. on Thursday will bring snow to the region. Snowfall will begin overnight tonight and will intensify as the low approaches by Thursday morning. Snowfall should ease by Thursday evening as the low departs. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
