Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected. Where: East Kootenay - south including Cranbrook When: Ending this morning. Remarks: Moisture is being pumped up into the Kootenays from the south and is running into cold air being pushed down from the north creating periods of heavy snow over the region. Snow will taper to a few flurries later this morning. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
