Freezing Rain Warning in effect for:

Freezing rain is expected or occurring. Locations: Corner Brook and vicinity, and the higher terrain of Gros Morne Total freezing rain amounts: near 5 mm, locally higher amounts possible. Freezing rain duration: approximately 4 hours. Time span: late this afternoon through this evening. Remarks: The freezing rain will be preceded by several hours of snow and ice pellets. For the Gros Morne region, the freezing rain will mostly be confined to higher elevations along the highway. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
