Snowfall Warning in effect for:

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected. Where: East Kootenay - south including Cranbrook When: Tonight to Thursday morning. Remarks: Moisture is being pumped up into the Kootenays from the south and is running into cold air being pushed down from the north creating periods of heavy snow over the region. The heaviest snowfall is expected after midnight tonight and into early Thursday morning. By mid morning the snow will have tapered to a few flurries or showers. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
