Rain, at times heavy, is expected. What: 50 to 70 millimetres of rain near the coastline of the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. When: through Sunday evening. Additional information: at times rain may locally be mixed with snow. Over higher terrain, precipitation will fall mainly as snow. Snowfall amounts near 10 centimetres are possible. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Be prepared for possible winter conditions at higher elevations. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Additional information: A major low pressure system continues to intensify over the Maritimes. Flooding is possible along the coastline. Coastal erosion is possible in vulnerable areas.
