Significant snowfall continuing today. What: Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm, with lesser amounts near the Minnesota border. Reduced visibility in heavy snow. Risk of freezing rain near the Minnesota border. Difficult travel conditions and possible road closures. When: Today, tapering off tonight. Additional information: Significant snow associated with a low pressure system will continue today. The snow will likely become mixed with or change to ice pellets during the day for areas closer to the Minnesota border with a risk of freezing rain. Snowfall amounts for these areas will likely be lower as a result. Conditions should improve tonight. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
