Winter Storm Warning in effect for:

Winter storm beginning Wednesday morning. What: Snow, at times heavy. Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 5 cm per hour. Reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow. When: Wednesday morning through early Thursday morning. Additional information: The heaviest snowfall is expected Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening. Easterly winds gusting 50 to 70 km/h will result in blowing snow, particularly for exposed areas downwind of Lake Superior. Winds are expected to ease Wednesday night. Snow will taper to flurries early Thursday morning. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
