Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. Maximum wind gusts: northeast 90 km/h. Location: northeastern New Brunswick. Time frame: this afternoon and evening. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NBstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #NBStorm.

Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Acadian Peninsula

Higher than normal water levels are expected. Locations: north and east facing coastlines of eastern New Brunswick. Timeframe: high tide Saturday afternoon or evening. Remarks: strong northeast winds and low atmospheric pressure will cause higher than normal water levels and rough and pounding surf to coincide with the high tide on Saturday. Minor coastal erosion is possible. The highest threat is for the New Brunswick Coast from Escuminac south to Shediac. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
