Freezing rain on Monday What: Several hours of freezing rain possibly giving 2 to 5 millimetres of ice accretion. The Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Baie-des-Chaleurs areas will receive between 5 and 10 millimetres of freezing precipitation. When: Monday. Where: The Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Lower St. Lawrence, Gaspé Peninsula and North Shore areas. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
