Wreckhouse Wind Warning in effect for:
  • Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity

Very strong wind gusts are expected or occurring Time span: Saturday morning until Saturday evening then potentially again briefly overnight Saturday night. Maximum gusts: easterly up to 150 km/h in the Wreckhouse area. Remarks: Easterly wind gusts of 100 to 120 km/h will develop Saturday morning then further increase to 130 to 150 km/h Saturday afternoon before diminishing in the evening. Motorists planning to travel through the Wreckhouse area Saturday night once the winds subside in the evening should monitor future forecasts as southeasterly winds may strengthen again briefly overnight with gusts up to 110 km/h possible. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds. Wreckhouse wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
