Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring. Maximum wind gusts: northeast 90 km/h. Location: northeastern New Brunswick. Time frame: diminishing later this evening. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Acadian Peninsula

Higher than normal water levels are expected. Locations: north and east facing coastlines of eastern New Brunswick. Timeframe: near high tide this evening. Remarks: strong northeast winds and rough and pounding surf will cause higher than normal water levels this evening. Minor coastal erosion is possible. The highest threat is for the New Brunswick coast from Escuminac south to Shediac. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.     • Page name will display in the "Add this page" window, the name can be changed by highlighting the text and entering the desired name

    • Select the link to rename
    • Click on the "Rename" button and change the link name
    • Click the enter or tab key
    • Click on the "Close" button to save the change
