Freezing Rain Warning in effect for:

Freezing rain is expected or occurring. Locations: Magdalen islands. Total freezing rain amounts: possibly up to 5 mm. Freezing rain duration: around 4 hours. Remarks: A warm front will sweep across the region on Monday. Precipitation will begin as snow tonight then change to ice pellets on Monday morning and to freezing rain on Monday afternoon. Freezing rain will then transition to rain late Monday afternoon or early evening. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
