Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Miramichi and area

Significant snowfall possible Thursday. Location: northern New Brunswick. Snowfall amount: 10 to 20 cm. Possibly more over higher terrain. Time span: beginning early Thursday morning in the northwest and spreading to the northeast by afternoon. Ending Thursday night. Remarks: Temperatures will be near zero in some low-lying or coastal areas, which could lead to highly variable snowfall based on elevation. Gusty southeasterly winds are also possible, with gusts as high as 70 to 80 km/h along the coast Thursday afternoon. Similar storms in the past have caused difficult driving conditions and scattered utility outages. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
