SNOW SQUALL WATCH
- Kings County P.E.I.
Snow squalls are expected to develop. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow, and snow will quickly accumulate. Total snowfall: locally 10 to 20 cm in snow squalls. Locations: Queens and Kings County PEI. Time span: late this afternoon until Wednesday afternoon. Remarks: Flurries will organize into areas of snow squall activity as cold westerly winds strengthen Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to PEstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #PEStorm.
