Rain, at times heavy, this weekend. What: Rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 millimetres are expected, with up to 50 millimetres possible locally. When: Friday evening through Sunday. Where: Western and Central Quebec. Additional information: The rain will contribute to accelerated snowmelt in areas where snow is still present, as well as a significant increase in the flow and level of some streams and rivers. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to QCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #QCStorm.
