Freezing rain ending near midnight. What: Prolonged period of freezing rain. Ice accretion of 5 to 15 mm. Power outages. Slippery surfaces and broken tree branches from ice build-up. When: Ending near midnight. Additional information: An extended period of freezing rain will continue this evening. Temperatures are forecast to rise above the freezing mark in the next few hours, bringing an end to the freezing rain. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
