Winter weather travel advisory in effect for Wednesday and Wednesday night. Hazards: Snow with accumulations near 10 cm. Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow. Timing: Wednesday morning through Thursday morning. Discussion: A low pressure system will bring heavy snow at times to the area beginning Wednesday morning. The snow is expected to taper off Thursday morning. Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
