Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Ottawa North - Kanata - Orléans

Heavy snow Friday night and Saturday followed by freezing rain on Sunday. What: Snow, ice pellets and freezing rain. Possible snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm. Possible ice accretion of 5 to 10 mm. Possible utility outages. Slippery surfaces and broken tree branches from ice build-up. When: Snow and ice pellets beginning Friday evening continuing into Saturday. Freezing rain Sunday. Additional information: Portions of central and eastern Ontario will experience heavy snow or ice pellets Friday night into Saturday. After a break in the snow and ice pellets on Saturday, freezing rain is forecast to begin early Sunday morning. Warnings will be issued as the event draws nearer.
