Winter weather travel advisory in effect for today. Hazards: Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm. Low visibility in areas of heavier snow. Difficult travel conditions due to snow covered and icy roads. Timing: Ending late tonight. Discussion: Snow will become heavy at times this afternoon through tonight. The evening commute will likely be affected in the more populated areas. The snow will taper off to flurries late tonight with a risk of freezing drizzle. Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
