Additional information: Most areas will see freezing rain tonight with temperatures at or just below zero. However, temperatures near Lake Ontario may remain just above freezing preventing ice accretion. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
