WIND WARNING

Strong outflow winds are expected. When: Late overnight through Saturday. Where: Mainland valleys and inlets of the North and Central Coasts. Peak winds: Northeast outflow winds near 90 km/h. Remarks: A ridge of high pressure building over interior BC combined with a low pressure system approaching the BC coast on Friday will generate very strong outflow winds through mainland valleys and inlets. Northeasterly outflow winds will strengthen late overnight to Friday morning reaching 90 km/h. Strong outflow winds ranging from 70 to 90 km/h are expected to persist through Friday night and Saturday. As the low weakens and moves offshore, outflow winds will gradually ease below wind warning criteria Saturday overnight. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.   • Add to shortcuts

    • Use the Tab key to move to a button or link
    • Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links
    • Organize shortcuts navigation
      • Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
      • Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
      • Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
      • Use the Page Down key to move a selection down in the list.
  • Restore default list

    Warning: Clicking on the button below will remove all your customized links.
