WIND WARNING
Strong Outflow Winds. When: Tonight through Sunday morning. Where: Mainland valleys and inlets of the North and Central Coasts. Peak Winds: Northeasterly outflow winds up to 90 km/h. Remarks: A building ridge of high pressure over interior BC, combined with a low pressure system off the BC coast, is producing strong outflow winds through mainland valleys and inlets. Northeasterly outflow winds, ranging from 70 to 90 km/h, are expected to persist through tonight. As the low pressure system weakens and moves offshore, winds will gradually ease overnight for the north coast and by Sunday morning for the central coast. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
