SNOWFALL WARNING

A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected. Where: Fernie and Morrissey. When: Now until early Sunday morning. Remarks: Another fall storm is expected to affect southern BC beginning this morning. The system is forecast to remain offshore over the next few days, with associated bands of precipitation bringing between 20 to 30 cm of snow to the Elk Valley region by Sunday morning. The heaviest snowfall is expected this evening and tonight for the area, and the highest snowfall totals are expected to be near Fernie and Morrissey.
