BLIZZARD WARNING
Second winter storm with blizzard conditions What: Total snowfall amounts of 40 to 70 centimetres. Strong to high winds of up to 90 km/h producing widespread blowing snow and extreme windchill values. When: Until Tuesday morning. Where: The Lower St. Lawrence and the Gaspé Peninsula. Travel is expected to be extremely hazardous due to reduced visibility. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Road closures are possible. If you become stranded in a vehicle do not leave. The vehicle offers a form of protection from the cold. A single person walking through the snow is harder to find than a stranded car or truck.
