Snow followed by freezing rain today What: A total of 10 to 15 centimetres of snow followed by a period of a few hours of freezing rain possibly giving 2 to 4 millimetres of ice accretion. When: Today Additional information: The snow will gradually change to freezing rain and then to rain at the end of the day. Quickly accumulating snow could make travelling conditions difficult. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
