SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

Another weather system will bring a mix of precipitation over much of the province on Thursday. After a few centimetres of snow possible, freezing rain is expected to begin on Wednesday evening over Western and Southern Quebec and reach Central Quebec on Thursday morning. The freezing rain will gradually change to rain during the day on Thursday. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice accretion could cause broken tree limbs. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to QCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #QCStorm.
