Humidex values exceeding 40 in the afternoon are expected for a 3-day period. Daily highs between 30 and 35 C followed by overnight lows above 20 C are expected. Humidex values will exceed 40 in the afternoon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The heat and humidity will begin to ease on Friday. During high heat events, your health and the health of your family and friends can deteriorate rapidly. The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec, in co-operation with Environment and Climate Change Canada, recommends that you protect yourself from the effects of heat by taking the following actions: Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day even before feeling thirsty.
