Issued 3:30 PM NDT 1 May 2024 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 998 mb located southeast
of the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located from the low to Funk
Island Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Thursday trough located from the low to the
Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over northern
Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:15 PM NDT 1 May 2024 A low pressure system southeast of the Grand Banks will remain nearly
stationary throughout the forecast period. A trough extending from
the low will retrograde southwestward across northeastern waters on
Thursday. The trough combined with a strong ridge of high pressure
north of the district will spread strong to gale force
northeasterlies across northern and western waters overnight into
Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
