Issued 3:30 PM NDT 3 May 2024 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary low 997 mb located southeastof the Grand Banks.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough from low located on a line east-west
over Laurentian Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing trough located south of the
Marine District.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over northern
Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:31 PM NDT 3 May 2024 A low pressure system southeast of the Grand Banks will remain nearlystationary throughout the forecast period. A trough extending from
the low currently over the Laurentian Fan will depart this evening.
The trough combined with a strong ridge of high pressure north of the
district will cause strong to gale force northeasterlies across
northern and western waters today.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Gulf waters.
