Issued 8:00 PM NST 19 December 2014 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 988 mb located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over eastern Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday trough located east of the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight building ridge located over Ontario.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday building ridge located over Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NST 19 December 2014 A low pressure system northeast of the Belle Isle Bank will track
rapidly northeastwards to lie southeast of Greenland tonight.
A trough will hang back behind the low and slide eastwards across the
Funk Island Bank tonight and out of the marine district Saturday.

Strong to gale force southwesterlies east of the trough give way to
strong to gale force northerlies to its west. Winds will diminish
below gale force over most waters tonight and over the Funk Island
Bank Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, the Gulf waters, East Coast, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle.
