Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:23 PM AST 9 February 2016 An intense low pressure system near the Southwest Coast of
Newfoundland will move to lie over the Avalon Peninsula this evening
as it weakens. Gale to storm force northeasterlies north of the
Low shift to gale to storm force westerlies south of the system.
Another low pressure system will rapidly cross slope waters tonight
into Wednesday morning. Another period of gale to storm force winds
are forecast with this second low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan southeastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope southeastern
