of Belle Isle Bank.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located over Quebec.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:12 AM NST 6 December 2016 An intense low pressure system northeast of Belle Isle Bank will
remain nearly stationary today before slowly moving eastward on
Wednesday. Gale force northwesterlies over southern and eastern
waters will spread across the remainder of the Labrador Sea by this
afternoon. Winds are expected to slowly diminish Wednesday night.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, the Labrador coast and the Northwest
Labrador Sea - northwestern half.
