Issued 9:30 AM NST 26 January 2015 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 946 mb located over eastern Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday low 970 mb located east of Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough from 946 mb low located over the
Mid Labrador Coast.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday trough from 970 mb low located east of
Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday ridge located over western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:20 AM NST 26 January 2015 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will track
northeast and exit the East Labrador Sea by this afternoon. Gale to
storm force northeasterlies north of its track and storm force
southwesterlies south of its track will shift to gale to hurricane
force northwesterlies in its wake. Winds will then diminish to strong
to gale force northwesterlies over most waters tonight.

Additionally, a trough of low pressure associated with the low over
the Mid Labrador Coast will move southeastward to lie east of the
Labrador Sea by Tuesday morning. Strong to gale force northwesterlies
will intensify to storm force this evening over southern sections of
the South Labrador Sea under the influence of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for the East Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Lake Melville and the South Labrador
Coast. A gale warning is in effect for the South Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all open waters.
