Issued 9:30 PM NST 24 February 2017 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary trough located south
of Greenland.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:15 PM NST 24 February 2017 A trough of low pressure south of Greenland will remain nearly
stationary throughout the forecast period. Meanwhile, a ridge of high
pressure along the Labrador coast will remain nearly stationary as it
strengthens tonight before moving out over western portions of the
Labrador Sea late on Saturday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies
between these features will strengthen to gale to storm force
tonight. Winds will begin to diminish on Saturday evening as the
ridge moves eastward.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for the North
Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest
Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
