over New England.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 1016 mb located over James Bay.
By 11:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing low 1004 mb located near
Anticosti Island.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today departing low 978 mb located over
northeastern Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:57 AM AST 6 February 2016 A low pressure centre east of Newfoundland at forecast time will
continue to move eastward today. Gale to storm force northwesterlies
in the wake of the low gradually diminish to strong further from the
low. Meanwhile a low pressure centre over James Bay this morning
will pass to the north of the Gulf of St Lawrence on Sunday. A cold
front will trail this system. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
ahead of the front veer to strong to gale force northwesterlies
behind it.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Banquereau and Cabot Strait. Gale warnings are in effect for eastern
Shore..Sable..East Scotian Slope..Fourchu..Laurentian Fan..Gulf
Magdalen..Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait and all of the Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
