Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NST 19 February 2017 Tonight and Monday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing low 986 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over northern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:15 PM NST 19 February 2017 An intense low pressure system east of the marine district will
continue out to sea tonight. Strong to gale force winds over most
waters will diminish by Monday morning as the low moves off. Strong
to gale force northwesterlies are forecast to redevelop over
northwestern waters on Monday as a ridge builds in from the west over
Labrador.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest Labrador Sea
- northwestern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
