Issued 10:30 AM PDT 18 October 2017 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over northern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Lower Mainland.

At 5:30 p.m. PDT today low located west of Bowie.
By 5:00 a.m. PDT Thursday departing low located over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:20 AM PDT 18 October 2017 A frontal system has moved across the central and northern waters
this morning. Winds are veering to southwest gales in its wake.

The cold front associated with this system is advancing across
Vancouver Island and gale force southeasterlies are developing over
the South Coast this morning. As the system moves inland this
afternoon, winds will become strong south or southwesterlies in its
wake.

Seas have built to near 7 metres over the northern and central waters
this morning, and will build to near 9 metres over the offshore
waters this evening.

Strong to gale force westerlies will develop tonight as the centre of
this low pressure system will make its way across Southern Bowie into
central waters.
