Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:47 AM PDT 30 June 2016 A ridge of high pressure over Haida Gwaii will move slowly eastward
and weaken during the day. To the east of the ridge, westerly gales
prevail over Juan de Fuca Strait. Winds will ease to strong this
morning but are expected to strengthen to strong to marginal gale
force in the late afternoon and evening.
A low pressure system will approach the offshore waters this
afternoon. Ahead of the system, gale force southeast winds will
develop over northern and central waters by this evening.
