Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:48 AM PST 23 February 2017 An area of high pressure will slowly build west of the offshore
waters through the period. A trough of low pressure will develop
along the mainland coast later today and deepen overnight with a low
pressure center forming west of Tofino by early Friday morning. The
low will drift southwards during the day on Friday.
A short period of strong to gale force outflow winds will occur along
the North Coast tonight and the Central Coast Friday morning. Strong
to gale force northerly winds will also occur over the offshore
waters overnight and Friday.
