central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary trough located over BC
interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:36 AM PDT 29 May 2017 The contrasts of temperature and pressure between a ridge of high
pressure over offshore waters and a trough over the BC Interior are
producing strong to gale force westerly winds through Juan de Fuca
strait. These winds will ease slightly this morning then rise again
late this afternoon and this evening.
