BC interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:28 PM PST 20 January 2017 An area of low pressure will remain centred to the southwest of the
Explorer region but will drift northwestward towards Bowie during
The period. Meanwhile, an Arctic ridge of high pressure will be
building over the Northern BC Interior tonight and will persist
through the weekend.

Moderate to strong east or northeast winds will tend to veer to
East or southeast over most areas as the low shifts northwestward.
Strong to gale force northeast outflow winds will develop through
The Northern Mainland inlets as the ridge builds. Marginal gale
Force southeasterlies are possible over some of the southern and
central waters on Saturday as a weak trough approaches from the
West.
