Issued 4:00 PM PST 18 December 2014 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over Cape Scott.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight departing frontal system located over
BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located west of the offshore waters.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Friday trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over the offshore waters.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday approaching frontal system located west
of the offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 PM PST 18 December 2014 An intense frontal system is moving across Hecate Strait this
evening. Over the North Coast, storm force southeasterlies ahead of
the front will shift to strong southerlies in its wake. Over the
inner South Coast, strong to gale force southeasterlies will ease to
moderate to strong this evening.

On Friday a trough of low pressure will track across northern waters.
Ahead of the trough, gale force southeasterlies will develop over the
offshore waters tonight and spread to the North Coast Friday morning.
Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterly behind the
trough.
