Issued 01:08 AM PDT 30 April 2024 There is a slight risk of waterspout development across the Strait of Georgia overnight, especially over southern sections.

An unstable airmass crossing the south coast in combination with relatively warm sea surface temperatures in the Strait of Georgia are creating favourable conditions for waterspout development.

Issued 9:30 PM PDT 29 April 2024 Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight departing low 1012 mb located over
southern Explorer.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight ridge located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south
over Bowie.

At 2:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:23 PM PDT 29 April 2024 A low over Northwestern Explorer will continue tracking southward
across the Explorer this evening. Ahead of the low, strong to gale
force westerlies over the Explorer will shift to moderate to strong
northerly in its wake. By Tuesday morning, no gales are expected as a
ridge of high pressure will follow on brings light to moderate
northwesterlies to British Columbia waters.
