Issued 4:00 PM PDT 26 July 2016 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday quasi-stationary ridge located on a
line northeast-southwest over the Central Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:59 PM PDT 26 July 2016 A nearly stationary ridge of high pressure offshore will slowly build
towards the Central Coast tonight and Wednesday. Under this pattern,
strong to gale force northwesterly winds will prevail over most
southern waters.

Northwest gales are forecast to develop late in the afternoon and in
the evenings off West Vancouver Island and through Johnstone Strait.
Westerly winds through Juan de Fuca Strait will also flirt with gales
in the evenings.
