north-south over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 AM PDT 28 June 2016 A ridge of high pressure will remain nearly stationary over Haida
Gwaii today and Wednesday. To the east of the ridge, strong to gale
force northwest winds will prevail over West Vancouver
Island, Johnstone Strait and Juan de Fuca Strait. Winds may ease
somewhat during the day but are expected to strengthen again to gale
force in the late afternoon and evening.
