Blowing Snow Advisory in effect for:

  • Queens County P.E.I.

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations.

A low pressure system currently southeast of Cape Cod will track northeastward and pass south of Nova Scotia tonight. Snow combined with strong northeast winds will give reduced visibility in blowing snow beginning this evening. Conditions will gradually improve on Tuesday.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
