Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Queens County P.E.I.

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.

A low pressure system approaching the maritimes tonight will track across Nova Scotia on Thursday. Rain will change to snow, at times heavy, later this evening and then to a prolonged period of ice pellets near midnight. Ice pellets will change to rain in the morning. Total snow and ice pellet amounts of 15 to 25 cm are forecast.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
