Blizzard warning in effect for:

  • Cambridge Bay

Blizzard conditions with poor visibility in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.

Near-zero visibilities in blowing snow will continue at Cambridge Bay tonight. The blizzard conditions will persist until Monday afternoon.

The blizzard has ended at Kugluktuk.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. If you do travel and become lost, remain where you are until the blizzard has passed. If you must travel, keep others informed of your schedule and destination and carry an emergency kit and mobile phone. Ensure that shelter is provided for pets and outdoor animals.

Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 6 hours.
