Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Fredericton and Southern York County

An extended period of rainfall expected for the province.

A slow-moving low pressure system approaching the Maritimes from the southwest will begin to spread rain across the province overnight tonight. Rain associated with the system will continue over the next several days with significant amounts possible. At this time the highest rainfall amounts are likely along the Fundy coast with 40 millimetres forecast by Thursday morning. However, rain will continue in the days following giving further amounts elsewhere throughout the province.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
