Winter storm to kick off the week. What: - Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres expected. - Near-zero visibilities at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. - 2 to 5 millimetres of freezing rain. When: From early this morning until overnight tonight. Additional information: Precipitation will begin as snow, then gradually change over to ice pellets, and then to freezing rain in the afternoon. Overnight Monday night, temperatures will rise above the freezing mark and precipitation will change over to rain, reducing remaining accumulations on the ground. Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Road closures are possible. Allow extra time for travel.
